You're not thinking I am someone else?
As I watch "West Side Story" for the umpteenth time, I'm struck with the most overwhelming sadness. Perhaps it's the nagging realization that cinematic romance doesn't exist (I know it doesn't, have for years now). Maybe it's nostalgia for a time I never knew (lavish movie musicals, skinny ties and Coke in 7 ounce glass bottles). Mostly I suspect that I'm just lonely about having to watch one of my favorite movies of all time, alone. Again.
